Garden full of wild flowers

 

 

I went to an amazingly gorgeous garden with my garden friends, the other day. I knew that place, but this was the first time to visit. It took only about one-hour car-ride form Tokyo.

 

どうしてもっと早くここに来なかったんだろ…

 

 

 

 

 

I should have visit here earlier!!!

The garden is mainly consist of wild flowers, herbs and grasses. Recently,this type of garden attracts me :)


It seemed to be devided into some sections by certain themes.

This area has yellow wild flowers. I was impressed that they planted only single-species. If I were a garden designer here, I would plant a lot kinds of flowers with diffrent colors.

And this section, called "Rock Garden" was my favorite! They planted mainly Siebold's stonecrops between the rocks on a slope, like a river.

 

 

At the bottom of the Siebold's stonecrop river, you can enjoy the ferns:)

Looove ferms! It's cool, isn't it?

Beyond the field of yellow flowers, there were mass of  Feather Grasses combined with  pink and purple flowers.

 

 

The forms and texture that Echinaceas and Feather Grasses created were wonderful!

 

Also love such a following shot, planted Linaria along the path,  I'd like to get it in my garden, but it's too tall to plant in my small balcony..

 

It maybe a great effect to use only one or two colors of flowers in a designated area. I want to try to adopt this rule with my garden:)

 

 

After we enjoyed the view of the garden to our hearts' content, we had delicious lunch at the British style restaurant in the site!
