Succulents in a Wire Basket

I got a tiny wire basket from one coin shop.

 It costs only 100 yen (about $1 or so)

Putting some moss in it to use it as a planter.

And then add some soil.

The plants I selected were my favorite succulents,:)

This is the time to put these succulents pots outside.

Spring has finally come:) 

Canned Puschkinia

 A flower I've been waiting for has finally bloomed.

  

 Can you recognize its name?

It's like a hyacinth but not...

  

It's Puschkinia :)

 

They're only about 3 inches high! 

These tiny little flowers always fascinate me...

As a matter of fact, the pink ones are dried erica which I cut really short:)

I planted them in a painted can. 

 Finally winter has gone and spring seems to be  here.

Canned Succulents

Recently, I'm into painting various things. 

I tried to paint a tin of tuna with acrylic paint to use it as a plant pot.

So I made some small holes at the bottom.

Firstly I painted pink beige and smoky green.

Secondly overpainted this Cracked paint which can get the top coat cracked.

And then overpainted ivory...

 

After a couple of minutes...

 Cracked!!!

Wiping it softly with wet cloth, you can peel the ivory paint

and the pink and green base will come out.

What kind of plants would you plant in this tiny pot?

What I planted were... 

 Succulents!

 

And then I put this little wire ladder

which I made:)

 

Finished!!!

These succulents are look like roses, aren't they?

Mimosa Wreath

Mimosa in my neighborhood finally began to bloom

 It reminds me that spring is around the corner ...

I've been wanting to make a mimosa wreath.

One of my friends who has a mimosa tree in her garden gave me some branches:)

I prefer the simple wreath rather than the decorative one

One year...

It has been exactly one year since the massive earthquake and tsunami devastated Japan.

 

Somthing has changed in our each mind...

Recovery from the earthquake is still under way but the disaster areas need more support.

As to the nuclear meltdown,

the earthquake has made it clear that we must change in very fundamental ways.

We must change....

 to show our respect for those who have died for it...

We all are longing for real spring...

Tiny little field flowers

I love tiny little flowers...

 Erica...

and...

ionopsieirm...

 I also like not only flowers,

 but also leaves:)

In winter, we have few plants in our garden.

Waiting for spring, I barely picked and put them in tiny little vases.
