My Garden in Spring 2017

I had been waiting for May, the rose season in Japan.
Time flies! We're getting into June, the rainy season here...

Before the rainy season, I would like to post my balcony garden as a memorandum.

Actually, our condominium building will have the large-scale repair next January, including exterior wall repair and roof repair...

That means we should remove not only all of these plants, but exterior objects, like wood fence or faked brick flowerbed...

This building will be under repair from January to May next year.

A carpenter bee comes  every year when this R.mulliganii blooms.
Thanks to him, we can enjoy the rose hips every autumn:)
But we cannot see him next year because of the repair, I guess...

I'm dreaming of new balcony garden next year...

Summer Garden

Hi everyone!

How is the weather in your area?

Today, we have experienced 30-degree heat here in Japan.

I found a dragonfly in my balcony...

Umm...I think that dragonflies signal the coming of autumn...

You've appeared too early! ahaha...

From July to August, we have extremely hot weather around Tokyo area...

Our balcony  recorded a high of 48.5 degrees Celsius (measured in our centigrade) last year, due to the reflected heat of the sun..

Most of these plants have been living in a harsh environment..

Hope they will survive the heat wave this year, as well.

Thank you for stopping by!

Dried Lavender

There are various kinds of lavender, which one is in your garden?
My favorite is  "English Lavender".

Every morning, I cut off some of them just prior to come into bloom.

To produce the dried lavender in a better shape, cutting them when their buds are about to burst is one of the keys to success, I guess.

The leaves separated from the stems are to put in a sheer paper back.
Putting it in my pillow, I drift off into a peaceful sleep:-)

Let's hang them in an airy place...

Love this antique lace ribbon:-)

A couple of days later, let's decorate them...

with a handmade wire craft...

I'm wondering where the next batch should be...:)

Having a sweet smell, I feel a small happiness every morning to do this short time work:-)

Thank you for stopping by!

Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day - May 2016

Here we are, half way thorough May!
It's all going too fast.

I love the month of May!
Everything is so green and beautiful flowers are bursting open every day.

Keeping a lot kinds of plants, I'm considering of color combination, lately...

My favorite color combination is pale pink and white.

Lately, I want to add some strong color,  such as  blue or purple, as an accent...

Umm....

I'm wondering where the strong colored flowers should be added...

I enjoy dreaming the next step:-)

Carol at May Dreams Gardens hosts Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day to allow us to share what's blooming in our gardens each month. So, check out the link for more May flowers from all over.

Thank you for stopping by!

Helleborus Flowers Floating on the Water

I like helleborus flowers floating on the water

They are now in full bloom in my balcony.

"Cannot see your faces;-(

Why do you keep your heads lowered?"

I've cut and put them on the water.

"Finally, can see your lovely faces:-)"

Cherry blossoms outside of the window also make me happy:)

Rosa Mulliganii by the Window

This rose came to my garden about four years ago...
I'd been wanting a single petal rose.

Rosa Mulligani

This year, it has grown six meters long. Can't believe it! It's planted in a pot!!

Every morning when I cross-pollinate the flowers, a carpenter bee helps me.

Thanks to it, a lot of rose hips will be appeared in autumn, I guess:)

You can enjoy them sparkling in the morning sun from our living room;)

Love to see my garden sitting on a sofa with a cup of herbal tea :)

Of course, love to see them under the soft lights of the bulbs in the late afternoon...

Actually, this metal leaf bulb is handmade :-)

My Garden in Spring 2015 vol.2

"Blue Angel", clematis, is blooming in my garden. This is the last clematis bloomed among my clematis collection. I've been wanting to see it flowering...

As the sprinkling can is getting older and rusted, I decided to use it as a flower container.

Bored some holes at the bottom with a drill, planted Cape Clover and Ivy:)

From our living room, we can enjoy roses and clematis.

Beautiful season has come:)

With the approach of beautiful season,  want to share a few images of my balcony garden :)

In this area, two kinds of roses are blooming!

One is Blan Pierre de Ronsard

The other is Narrow Water

I've been wondering what plants will go with these roses... What  I selected this year are...

White lace flower

 Veronica

Nigella

It's always exciting to get new plants, isn't it?

Among the newcomers, I do loove the Veronica!!
Assume that its shape becomes an accent in this scene:)
