Japanese traditional plants "Ikariso"

I love Japanese traditional plants.

Generally, they hate direct sun in mid summer.

So it is challenging for our roofless balcony to grow them.

But I can't give up...

Because some of them have such lovely flowers:)

This flower's name is "Ikariso"

What they attract me is not only flowers...

but also beautiful leaves :)

Go around gardens...

These days, I went around my friend's gardens.

One of my friends has a cherry tree.

He set a bird house which he made on its branch.

Since then, he can enjoy birds singing every morning.

My favorite flower in his garden is  Pulmonaria.

It has verious solft colored flowers and leaves with polka dots.

On the way to anoter friend's garden, you can see a bamboo forest.

She has a lot kinds of hellebores.

This is the season I've been waiting for.

Spring...

Cherry viewing

I went on a cherry viewing picnic on Sunday.

It was a beautiful day and perfect weather for cherry viewing.

The contrast between green willow and pink cherry was spectacular...

The blossoms of the Cherry tree signal the coming of Spring in Japan.

We've been waiting for this moment...

Who drew the lines?

I love little flowers...

Gypsophila repens ‘Rosea’

Puschkinia

Who drew the lines in such tiny petals?

They show their unusual expressions as seen through a macro lens.

Can you see the tiny blue stamens?

No matter how close I approach them, they can't be  seen with the naked eye.

How lovely...

I love those clovers...

like someone painted the red in each leaf.

Wishing you all a  wonderful new season.
