Book Wreath

One day, when I read a book, I came up with some idea.

Ripped some pages...and

 shaped each page like petals...

and glued them on the vine wreath.

And then...

put some nuts at the top.

I made a paper wreath.

If it gets a tan, don't you think  it can be seen as a vintage one?

Succulents in a Soap Tray

I especially love those succulent babies.

Some flower buds are growing...

Some are turned red...

I planted them in a soap tray...

enjoying the color variation:)

Hemp string

When I binded the rose branch with hemp string, came up with a good idea...

How about swathing hemp string with a glass bottle ?

And then, came up with another idea, too.

Using thin wire...

 made a leaf motif.

The reason I made it is that...

I wanna cover the roots of hyacinth :)

Erica

Do you recognize this flower?

You're right,

It' erica :)

I loooove erica.

Its flower tissue is dry, so I'm wondering if I could make a wreath with it.

And I'd like to show you my favorite stained glass.

Its flame is made of clay.

I ordered another one which is to be set in a new door in our living room.

The glassworks artisan said

"You can put your favorite lace in the glass"

So, I'm going to go and get some lace to the antique shop:)

Lamb's Years Wreath

I made garlands with lamb's years' stems from our balcony at the last post.

And secondly...

Using floral stems,

made a wreath :)

You can put a candle in the middle of it.

Of course,

you can hang it on the wall :)

Lamb's Years Garland

I made garland with lamb's years grown in our balcony.

They are very simple to make:)

Harvest them in spring and dry...

Cut them into 2 inch lengths.

We use only stems for garland.

Tie every 3 stems together with strings.

Glue some little dry flowers on each knot.

Just hang them from the ceiling.

Leftover floral stems will  turn into another special work :)

Succulents in an antique coffee cup

I love succulents.

Especially in the middle of the winter,

I like spending time to plant some succulents indoors.

These tiny little sedum flowers make me smile :)

I planted them in a little antique coffee cup.

Our balcony

I've been into gardening since we moved this apartment 6 years ago and made some exteriors.

My husband isn't interested in gardening and carpentry, so I usually have to do these kind of things alone.

I built a brick flower bed in our balcony.

It's not a real one, but a fake.

Just built a curved brick wall and put the plant pots inside it.

And I painted bricks like antique ones...

Next step, I wanna add an iron fence with it :)

New Year 2012

I made some New Year's cards with photos I  took last year.

I like the last one the most... :)
