Helleborus Flowers Floating on the Water

I like helleborus flowers floating on the water

They are now in full bloom in my balcony. 

"Cannot see your faces;-(

Why do you keep your heads lowered?"

I've cut and put them on the water.

"Finally, can see your lovely faces:-)"

Cherry blossoms outside of the window also make me happy:)

Pink Fairy

Like pink fairies in the woods...

You can find them here and there...

Found a cluster of them:)

 

It's a Japanese traditional plant, called Lykoris Squamigera, late summer-blooming bulb of the Amaryllis family.

It doesn't have leaves, but it did.  In early spring, the bulb produces leaves, but all of them fall before summer comes. Afterwards, it grows only a stem, then produces some flowers at the end of it. So, Lykoris Squamigera appears to be dead once, but comes to life again and produces such lovely flowers! That's why it has another name, like "resurrection lily" or "magic lily."


I think that this trumpet-shaped flower seems like fairy's skirt:)

Beautiful , it has poison, though...

Summer Short Trip

 

 

It's still hot and humid in Japan.

How about your area?

 

Has fall, beautiful season, already come?

 

 

I went to Nagano, 3-hours drive from Tokyo, last month. 

 

Lavender Farm...

 

 Nagano is located in the center of Japan and relatively cooler than Tokyo.

 

 

 

 

 

You can enjoy not only lavenders but other beautiful flowers

due to the cool climate here.

 

 

 

  So, many people who live in the metropolitan area go to Nagano

 to avoid the heat of summer.

 

 

 

 

 

But I'm going to go there next month to enjoy the rose garden:)

Go around gardens...

These days, I went around my friend's gardens.

One of my friends has a cherry tree.

 

He set a bird house which he made on its branch.

Since then, he can enjoy birds singing every morning.

 

My favorite flower in his garden is  Pulmonaria.

It has verious solft colored flowers and leaves with polka dots.

On the way to anoter friend's garden, you can see a bamboo forest.

 
 

 She has a lot kinds of hellebores.

This is the season I've been waiting for.

It' erica :)

I loooove erica.

Its flower tissue is dry, so I'm wondering if I could make a wreath with it.

 And I'd like to show you my favorite stained glass.

 

 Its flame is made of clay.

 I ordered another one which is to be set in a new door in our living room.

The glassworks artisan said

"You can put your favorite lace in the glass"

So, I'm going to go and get some lace to the antique shop:)
