Let's take a look what's happening inside the tent!

Wow, someone is singing on a chair!

Everybody is singing a long!!

and DANCING!!!

Guess where?

Ahaha... it happend at OKTOBERFEST, which can be seen everywhere in Japan recently.
OKTOBERFEST is originally a 16-day festival celebrating beer held annually in Germany and is  one of the most famous events there.

You can taste a lot kind of German beers and food like the above:)  I love sauerkraut ( pickled cabbage) !!  I've never been to Germany, but LOVE TO...;)

  1. I was really astonished and surprised to see an "Oktoberfest" in Japan.
I used to work for a Japanese shipbuilding company in Rotterdam and Japanese people are so different from German people (the only thing they have in common is they have both a lot of hard working people, what I like). Such fun to see a (Japanese I understand) man singing on a chair in Lederhosen (short leather trousers). I love the pickled cabbage too, but in Holland it is real winterfood.

    1. Hi Janneke,
Wow, I'm the one who is really astonished to hear that you worked for a Japanese company!! Actually, the company I'm working for has a deal with German company, and I contact German people via e-mail almost everyday. So I laughed listening to your opinion,"the only thing they have in common is they have both a lot of hard working people..." YES! We both work TOO MUCH!!! hahaha...
The singing men are German, they mainly sang "yodel." Japanese are polite in general, but in such a situation, we can become happy drinkers:)

  3. I love pickled cabbage too, Keity! Last year I've been to Munich and had eaten a lot of it. The dish with pickled cabbage is very popular in Russia as well, we cook soup with it, or as dressing.
