TAKENOUCH - Home Garden in Bamboo Forest Vol.1

What do you imagine when seeing this entrance of a high stone wall?

This is not an old castle or a famous French restaurant. Actually, this is a gate of my friend's home. Believe it or not, it was built by my friend and her husband. They heaped up rocks, one by one. They built not only this stone wall, but their stunning garden inside.

Do you want to look inside?

Okay, let's move on!

As you can see in the photo below, when they decided to get this huge land about five years ago, it was just a bamboo forest.

They removed bamboo trees in the garden and paved  a massive amount of rocks brick by brick to build a path and pond.

As a handmade sign shows, they call here "TAKENOUCH  Garden".

"TAKE"  is Japanese for  Bamboo.

Walking along this cobbled path and reach the top of the slope....

you'll discover a fantastic orchard...

To be continued later :-)
