I've been to Kamakura which is well known as a historical city, like Kyoto.
I found a nice cafe which has a beautiful English garden.
You can enjoy a cup of coffee as well as these beautiful flowers.
Strolling around the garden, the smell of roses healed my mind.
Actually, this garden is taken care of by a professional gardener.
Love the way to arrange grasses like the photo above. I think that my garden needs more grasses like that, 'cause I can feel the wind:)
Oh, what makes it unique is that this English garden cafe is located on the traditional Japanese temple property, called Jyomyo-ji !
If you have a chance to come to Kamakura, why don't you visit here? When you get there, you definitely can relax especially after climbing a steep hill... hahaha...

Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so amazing to see the English garden at the traditional temple! It's beautiful too and I think grasses would look so good in your garden with the different texture and the breezy terrace. I don't know why I am so surprised at all the different gardens you can visit in Japan. We have many parks with Japanese gardens in America so of course Japan would have parks with English gardens or American style meadow gardens.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have a rest on this terrace with the beautiful view on the English garden.
ReplyDeleteWowwww what a beautiful garden......enjoy summer darling.....love from me Ria...x !
ReplyDeleteHostas and ferns - great combination, I like it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot to relax, eat and savor the surroundings.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comment on my blog post.
