Believe it or not, this was my first time to visit here.
Despite the fact that it's located about 5 minite-walk from a company where I worked for before...
Its garden has huge land, we can enjoy a lot of rose hips this time of year...
This is Imperial garden, located in the center of Tokyo.
Of course, they still preserve those old wooden buildings, gatekeeper's lodge, from Edo-era.
After strolling around the park, we walk to Ginza, the most famous entertainment district in Tokyo.
What we ate in a good restaurant in Ginza was...
Dry fish, called "Hokke", a typical home cuisine in Japan... AGAIN. Because whenever we get together in a restaurant, he (on the left in the above photo) defintely orders "Hokke", ahaha...

Your story is so funny to me because the Imperial Garden is the first place I visited in Tokyo. I guess I was a typical tourist because we also went to Kyoto and Nara. The buildings and gardens were all beautiful in both cities.
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute he orders the same thing every time and it's something you have at home too. I don't remember Hokke, we ate a lot of yakitori.
Beautiful the Imperial Park, the new and the old buildings in one post, very interesting.
ReplyDeleteBelas fotografias de lindo Jardim....

Keity, the Imperial Park is beautiful, I love your first photo---the curved branches of the old trees, bright color of greenness.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteI love it and I'm so happy you decided to go there... with me is the same, I travel but taking time to visit my own town seems more difficult and hard to fit in the busy home-work-home daily rush.
Thank you for sharing,
Teresa
