My Garden in Spring 2014

Hi everyone,

How is your garden this spring?

My small balcony has its best season these days.

Looking at these photos, I want to review my garden in an objective way.

I liked large flowered roses when I started gardening. But my taste is getting changed.  Now I love tiny little flowers like the ones in the above photo. And in terms of roses, I also prefer little flower types.

I love hostas or hydrangeas which have beautiful broad leaves.

And now getting interested in herbs which have sliver leaves like Cat Mint in the above photo.

I want to increase more silver foliage in my garden:)

I'm overwhelmed by my job recently, so I don't have enough time to take pictures of my garden.

But those flowers healed me:)

How about your spring garden?

  1. Your garden and photos are beautiful as always. Your garden looks like it is in front of a small cottage somewhere far from Tokyo. Your water feature is so cute.

I like the contrast of large leaves with delicate flowers. Silvery plants are a favorite of mine in the garden so I will encourage you to plant more.

We are turning from spring to summer in my garden.

  3. I made a post today about the roses in my garden. Stop by when you can...
We had a dreadful Winter which it seems means tons and tons of roses. Even bushes I had lost in bloomed.
I love the colors in your garden. So Sweet and Soothing. It seems a painting by Monet.
    Take Care,
    Teresa

  4. Hi Keity, so nice to see pictures of your garden again! I just love it, it looks so calm and peaceful and beautiful. I love the rose too! I'm hoping to put more roses in my garden soon. You know I'm a fan of the silver foliage too... I have catmint, lavender and lambs' ears, as well as a plant called "snow in summer" (it has little white flowers) which is a good ground cover.
Love the garden tours in your other posts! The pirate garden is fun and the wisteria garden is just breathtaking!
