Herb Garden

These days, I feel stressed in my job...
As a matter of fact, I have had a new job since last December, and haven't got used to it...

The  fragrance of this silver leaves, called "Artemisia" in my garden is in for a treat. They have great fragrance. Isn't it amazing that it gives out an odor NOT from flower BUT from leaves?

Fragrance have a power to ease one's mind...

Then...
I should visit to a herb garden!

The garden is located on the mountainside.

Felt a breeze on my skin...

They have more than 180 kinds of herbs

Walking around the path, you can enjoy a lot kinds of fragrance.

When it comes to herbs, I have only four kinds of them, lavender, rosemary, mountain mint and apple mint, that's all.
I want to get more...

What herb do you recommend? Please let me know:)

  4. These herbs on the slope of the mountain look wonderful. The colours are so beautiful. If you want more herbs in your garden I can recommend basil for the lovely scent and it tastes good with tomatoes. Oregano is also a lovely herb

  5. I think lavender has the best scent for making you feel better. I have dried lavender under my pillow to help me sleep. I also like basil and thyme for cooking, and they both grow really well in pots too!

  6. The shots of the mountain herb garden are just beautiful. I would recommend the common herb thyme. There are many different kinds of thyme, all of them fragrant and I think the plant's delicate beauty and dainty flowers would appeal to you.

  8. I wished I live near mountains like you. We are on completely FLAT land here in this part of Texas. We would have to drive for 6 hours to see mountains!
    I love herbs like Artemesia. :0) David/

  10. So lovely photos Keity, those mountains in the background reminds me of the country I come from, Norway, we don't have mountains in London!

I do a lot of cooking, and I could not manage without thyme, I have two types of thyme, ordinary and lemon and I use it in a variety of dishes. I also have chives since my stomach doesn’t tolerate onions very well, but chives is a good alternative that I can use, so I have several of them and cut and freeze so I have for the winter. Rosemary and lavender are also staples in my garden like yours.

  12. What a lovely place! I wish I was there... even not being stressed.
So much wonder and beauty soothes the soul of even what you didn't know you had or felt.

I'm sorry to learn it's been a stressful time for you... with me it works to smell pine and eucalyptus... probably because I grew up in a region full of those trees and its smell immediately takes me to when all was safe and fun and happy.

And when I can't bring those scents to me, I've learned that turning off the lights at the end of the day, everyone is sleeping only I am awake, I seat on my sofa in silence and drink a cup of chamomile tea.

It won't solve problems but will strengthen you for them.

    Take care, Lovely Lady!
